Medico legal reports
Dr Gillanders and Dr Poveda can provide medico legal reports, predominantly in personal injury and medical negligence cases in Scotland. They have undergone Bond Solon Expert Witness training and understand the roles and responsibilities of a skilled witness.
They have had a balance of pursuer and defender work and take a proactive role with lawyers from the point of instruction to case settlement.
How long will it take to produce a report?
The report will normally be ready within 6-8 weeks of assessing a client.

A detailed letter of instruction clearly outlining the issues to be addressed
Hospital, medical and GP medical records in a digital format

Medico-legal Treatment
Edinburgh Neuropsychology is able to provide psychological therapy and cognitive rehabilitation to individuals with unsettled legal claims. Dr Gillanders and Dr Poveda have extensive experience of working with case managers and lawyers to support individuals at this time. They are aware of the Rehabilitation Code and recognise the importance of early, specialist rehabilitation in maximising an individual’s recovery. They are able to liaise closely with other professionals involved in an individual's care and produce timely progress reports as required. They recognise the increased complexity of working with this population and the potential of attending meetings with lawyers and acting as a Witness to Fact.
How much does medico-legal treatment cost?
Medico-legal treatment costs £150 for a 60 minute session. There may be additional costs associated with travel and liaison with colleagues and an agreed price can be provided on enquiry.
